Rigoletto at the Musée Jacquemart- André

Since 2021 Opera a Palazzo has been dedicated to staging intimate opera performances in exceptional Parisian venues.
For the past three years, we have been presenting La Traviata at prestigious venues such as the Fondation Dosne-Thiers, the Musée Jacquemart-André and La Monnaie de Paris.
The enthusiasm of participants and artists alike has encouraged us to develop this unique experience in France.
That’s why we want to produce a new opera.

Our project

Rigoletto is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi: an intense drama of passion, betrayal, filial love and revenge.
The production we are about to present, created by Musica a Palazzo Venice, focuses on the main roles: Rigoletto
(baritone), Gilda (soprano), Duca di Mantova (tenor), Sparafucile (bass) and Maddalena (mezzo-soprano). The staging, devised by Patrizia di Paolooffers an intimate, immersive approach to this opera. The musical part will be provided by a trio of musicians (piano, violin and cello), and the show, lasting two hours with intermission, will be presented in the sumptuous salons of the Musée Jacquemart-Andréour partner for the past two years.
Costumes will be made by Atelier Nicolao in Venice.
