The realm of dreams and the fantastic, a unique concert

Lyrical evening Füssli at the Jacquemart-André Museum with private visit

14 January 2023

The spectacular exhibition Füssli, the realm of dreams and the fantastic, which has been on display at the Musée Jacquemart-André since the autumn of 2022, will also be performed in concert.

A programme of French and German opera arias and melodies specially constructed by Hugues Rameau-Crays in collaboration with Katia Weimann and the artists awaits you for a unique evening.

A fantastic concert
The incredible world of the artist of the imaginary and the sublime was inspired by Shakespearean subjects with representations of dreams, nightmares and apparitions, themes that can be found in operas and many romantic melodies.

A unique programme
Juliet’s Dream, Gounod‘s and Berlioz‘s nightmarish Faust and Offenbach‘s Les Contes d’Hoffmann are all part of the same aesthetic of dream and fantasy, where the spectre of the rose haunts the dream of Bellini‘s La Sonnambula, where a danse macabre (Saint-Saëns) announces the end of Debussy‘s Nuit d’étoiles..)…
